The interchangeable fin system also gives the option to swap out the regular soft edged fins that it comes with (which are great for learning with, as they’re a lot more forgiving), for a set of performance based hard fins. The Epic Softboard range is the next step up in foamies. Underneath the 4mm EVA skin is a 2 x 6oz fibreglass layers with a full rail lap. This makes the deck very resilient to impacts from knees and general damage.

The rail lap and stringers also make these stiffer and more of a ‘surfboard’ feel so they actually surf very well.
